Well, I didn't post too much last week, big thanks to my friend Kelly S. she seems to be either the only person reading this, or the only one not scared to leave a comment. Honestly, the comments are what keeps me going. Even if it's just a 'howdy' please leave something!
The weekend is over, as always, too quickly. I am actually on-call this week here at work, so I get to take my laptop home every night, and carry an extra phone. It's a few extra bucks on the paycheck, and I hope I don't regret volunteering for it.
Here is the breakdown for the weekend....
Friday, I went home, then turned around and went over to the parents house. My mom is on this redecorating kick over at my place, I love her for it, but she wants me to replace most of my furniture. So far she has won out on the upstairs living room, and the basement living room. Her next target is my kitchen. I just don't understand why she hates the hutch/microwave stand I have, but she finally may have won. Here is one of the pieces we have pretty much agreed on
Piece no.1 Why you ask, would I put a computer armoire in my kitchen??? Just picture food or plates in that instead of a PC. Trust me, it will work, and for those that know me, I don't want to be normal. I couldn't find pics of the second larger piece, but it looks like a cabinet, here are the shelves she wants to put over the first piece Shelves Finally, she wants me to replace the plastic cabinet/bin I store my dog food in with this Hamper Bin , yes, instead of clothes, it would be for dog food.
Ok, that about wraps up Friday! Saturday I went and saw 'The Ex' with my buddy Alejandro, and a friend of his from school. We met at Granite City before, for some yummy Ale & Cheddar Soup, and a beer. After the movie, we went to the driving range.
Sunday was slow, but after getting up, making some breakfast, and watching a couple movies I had DVR'd, (Faye Grimm, Waist Deep) I went into town, late that afternoon for a late lunch.
I went by Target, and bought myself a Coffee Press (aka french press) and a Coffee grinder. Once I was home, and after I ate, I took them both out to experiment with making a cup of java.
I must say, I was successful. For those unfamiliar with a coffee press, here is the model I purchased. 8 cup Press and here is the grinder.....Grinder To be honest, I'm not sure I'm happy with the grinder, don't get me wrong, it works, but I found one online that measures out the amount of grounds you want by the cup, and also lets you select how coarse you grind them.
Back to the press. What you do with these, is dump the ground coffee into the bottom, fill it with hot water, then plunge the press down. The end of the plunger has a stainless steel filter, which keeps the grounds on the bottom. After dumping in the water, you wait about 4 minutes for the brew to take place, then plunge. The result is a delicious cup of coffee.
Anyway, gotta do some work, don't forget to leave a comment.

You called me out on it, so here I am. I am in D.C. this week for a conference. And still manage to seek your site. The conference is called GTM (Global Telecommunications Meeting) It’s impressive, there are over 600 companies here from all over the world. I am actually staying in Bethesda, Maryland at the Hyatt. A whopping $369 a night!! I feel so important!!! So are we still up for using our comp. Tickets for Pirates this weekend? Ty is playing in tournament ball this weekend out at the 3 & 2, you should consider coming if you do not have any plans.
